Thanks Should I get the DG-117 or DG-121 from the Filling station. It is very difficult to see with the limited info they give. If it is worth it should I get both.I can not see a good shop manual costing only $10.00.???

Which manual you purchase depends on which Chevrolet(s) you own. If you have an early '29 then the '29 manual would be the best. If the late '29 or '30 then the '30 edition. While you are buying literature I would also recommend the '29 - '32 parts book, the owners manual and the Fisher body manual (if a "closed" passenger vehicle) for the vehicle(s) that you own. Another interesting reprint is the Engineering Features book. It was prepared by Chevrolet Engineering to introduce the improvements in each years models compared to the prior year.

Grego,
I have a 1929-1932 Chevrolet Repair Manual from another company. No grip about their printing quality but it seems more focused on the later years than my 1929. I would say if they have one for your year, get that one.
I plan to get Filling Station's 1929 Shop Manual but I'm waiting for their 1929 Engineering Features to be restocked.

If you have a 1929 you should get the DG-121. If you have a 1930 you should get the DG-117 instead. Or, for additional information you could get both manuals. Yes, they are more than worth the $10 price.
Mine is a right hand drive four door sedan 1929.I am waiting for General Motors in South Africa to give me more details. We assume it was assembled in my home town (Port Elizabeth). The book I have is CHEVY SIX construction & restoration by Victor W Page. I need a more detailed book as my vehicle was stripped and I already have problems eg the parts that clamp the rear leaf spring to the diff are not the same I assume a left and right side. I will attempt purchasing both manuals. Thanks Greg.
