hi; got a frame i drug back from montana a few years ago... old guy said it might be a 1927 . how would i find out what it came from, and what year/?? any frame numbers, ? yes its a chevy.. just like the other one i also drug back ,complete w/motor. any help finding frame numbers, markings , or the like will be helpful. this frame is in real good shape . not a lot of rusting, ect. painted before i stored it (outside).. kevin

There are no ID numbers on the Chevy frames. The length, location of holes, front and rear cross members are the best places to use to identify a bare frame. The spring perches can be helpful too. If it has axles, springs or other things attached they can also be helpful. Posting a picture of the cross members will help get the process started.

I think you said one of your frames has a motor, if you get the numbers off the motor I'm sure some of the guys on here can tell you what year that is and if it is in the frame it should be a good indication of the frame year, provided it is an original motor in that frame.
