I have a 1967 Camaro and in rebuilding the front suspension I'm having difficulty installing the front sway bar and it will not clear the center cross member support enough. It is the correct one but can not figure out how to correctly install it. Please help me out and Thank You

Are you using the stabilizer link pins?

Yes, using the stock stabilizer and links but because it has to pass under the center support the joins the two front cross members I can not get it to clear to install the bar

Have you tried turning it up side down from the direction you're currently attempting to install it?

Papa Denny--The wide end gets mounted with two link pins to the inside lower control arm and the narrow end of sway bar gets mounted to the frame with two sway bar frame bushings.

PapaDenny,

I wasn't able to rememeber about the '67 Camaro Stabilizer bar installation but though it might be your problem. I spent my life in an area where stabilizer bar removal and installaion was a daily routine and on occasion even the seasoned tech has experienced your problem. Bad thing was that on some vehicles the bar could be installed upside down and besides the fact that they look goofy, it was only a matter of time before a real problem existed.
