Is a 65 El Camino Super Sport a rare find?
What is the proper VIN for one?
Does anyone know it's value?

It would be a very rare find as no such vehicle ever existed. The first El Camino super sport was 1968....Joe

I knew someone would know. Thank you. Some one was selling one claiming it had a 396 originally.

I don't think so. As I recall, 1966 was the first El Camino to have the 396 BB engine.

It could've had a big block in 66 & 67, but they weren't super sports. Chevrolet built 201 ss396 Chevelles in 1965...None were El Caminos....Joe

AHHHH The Mysterious Z-16. 1965 Chevelle with the 375 HP 396. Built to compete with the GTO. Very rare and valuable indeed.

Would a 65 El camino be a rare find with original 4 speed? This one has the SS vented hood, & Im trying to figure out if 65's had this hood.

No vented hoods in 65. 66 was the first...Joe

It was stated that 1965 did not however 1966 had a vented hood? I am not sure what you mean by that. The 1966 SS Chevelles and El Camino's had a great SS hood however the hood was not vented into the engine compartment or carb.
