Baffling problem- I replaced an existing aftermarket turn signal unit(12 Volt) with a Foxton from the Filling Station. I used existing wiring for the fronts but ran new wires to the rears. It's doing the same crazy things the old unit did.
A-Front turn signals both come on when the brakes are applied.
B-When using the turn signals, the fronts work as normal but BOTH rears signal when either right or left is used.
If I pull the fuse nothing changes except the turn signals don't blink. If I disconnect the brake wire to the turn signal I have no brake lights. Now the strangest-if I unhook the left brake light wire all signals function normally (But of course I have no brake light on the left side. But if I disconnect the RIGHT brake light wire I still have no LEFT brake light! I disconnected the front turn signal wires and have called it a day. Any ideas?
Thanks for any help offered.

Check the ground on each light. I would first check right rear and then left rear. If the grounds are bad the current will find a ground, typically through another light circuit.

Did you get it fixed? Also inspect the left turn signal socket and bulb. Sounds as though the brake signal to the left brake bulb filament is bleeding over (connected to) to the park light circuit.

I just looked back here today. I posted somewhere when I solved this. The basic problem I had was not severing the factory left to right brake light wire after running a new wire to the right side. So both rear lights would blink at the same time. Small detail, big frustration. Thanks.
