yesterday I was down in the garage putting my tail lights back together, when I turned the headlight switch on none of the lights worked,( headlights, parking lights, dash lights, dome light,brake lights,) the turn signals do work. the other day I noticed when I turned the switch on I had to play with the switch to get the headlights and parking lights to work. I checked the fuse and it is good, if the switch goes bad will that make the brake lights not work also?

The brake lights get their power through the light switch but seeing they get power with the switch in any position I doubt if they are fed through the off and on portion of the switch. I would suspect there is a problem with your light switch.
