I believe this is my first post on VCCA. Hopefully somebody out there can help with my paint code question.

I am getting ready to paint the exterior of my 53 3100. The color I have chosen is, Burgundy Maroon. After careful consideration, I have decided to do the base coat/clear coat method. I have been able to find the correct paint codes for the single stage paints. However, have not found a correct PPG Base Coat/Clear Coat conversion. If anybody has solved this mystery, I would really appreciate it, if you could pass the code along to me.

Actually, according to your profile you have made nine previous posts on this VCCA chat site....all the way back to 2002. So, it looks like you are one of the old timers.

I was a member back in 2003. Unfortunately, I had to take a long break in retoring my 53 3100. It does appear that I have made 9 posts prior. It has been such along time, I could not remember. The restoration is now back in full swing and so is my membership to the VCCA.

Ya, as soon as you made the post above I recognized your user name from long ago. It is great to have you back with us since it has been a long time!

Hopefully someone on this site has the information that you requested regarding the base coat/clear coat paint.
