Dog, The shop is well known in the Kansas City area as doing great work. They come highly recommended by a large number of folks doing both restoration and custom work. The name of the company is Performance Plating in Olathe, Kansas. It is a third generation family run business since the 1940's. Their website is www.performanceplating.com. I will let you know how things turned out in about a month. I will still appreciate any suggestions for the grille.

for some reason these type of grill and stone guards are hard to chrome i have had some chromed and they come back looking like a galvanized fence . i brought them back and not much better . they can be done and i have seen it . you may want to replace it with a stainless grill they are close and a judge with a good eye can tell. ithink the filling station has them . hope this helps
