Does anyone know of a way to replace an upper control arm without taking the upper control arm off? (bushing squeezed out) I was really surprized, I hardly drove the car since they were installed 5 years ago. I want to replace them with energy suspension bushings, but I dont want to have to take the whole thing apart. Anyone know how? Thanks Broo102 The control arm must be removed to replace bushings.

You can't push them on with an air chisel? I saw a guy do it to a 62 when I was kid. John Hi John, I have tried it and what usually happens is the control arm area around the bushing gets distorted/twisted.Even a small amount will make the replacement bushing very hard to put in and bolt into place.Especially if the modern poly style bushings are used like he has suggested.
