broo102 Shade Tree Mechanic Registered: 05/20/09 Posts: 75 Loc: So Calif	Does anyone know of a way to replace an upper control arm without taking the upper control arm off? (bushing squeezed out) I was really surprized, I hardly drove the car since they were installed 5 years ago. I want to replace them with energy suspension bushings, but I dont want to have to take the whole thing apart. Anyone know how? Thanks Broo102

John Hi John, I have tried it and what usually happens is the control arm area around the bushing gets distorted/twisted.Even a small amount will make the replacement bushing very hard to put in and bolt into place.Especially if the modern poly style bushings are used like he has suggested. Jim

I installed new polys & now I cant get (lower) the #%$^& thing to line up to the holes. I greased them pretty good, got the rear hole lined up, (was dificult) but the front bushing just wont go in far enough!~ Any ideas out there?? Thanks Broo102 Edited by broo102 (11/16/09 06:49 PM)
