Does anyone know of a way to replace an upper control arm without taking the upper control arm off? (bushing squeezed out) I was really surprized, I hardly drove the car since they were installed 5 years ago.
I want to replace them with energy suspension bushings, but I dont want to have to take the whole thing apart.
Anyone know how?
Thanks

The control arm must be removed to replace bushings.

You can't push them on with an air chisel? I saw a guy do it to a 62 when I was kid.

Hi John,
I have tried it and what usually happens is the control arm area around the bushing gets distorted/twisted.Even a small amount will make the replacement bushing very hard to put in and bolt into place.Especially if the modern poly style bushings are used like he has suggested. Jim

well I just dissambled it all, lower control arms needed bushings too. I installed new polys & now I cant get (lower) the #%$^& thing to line up to the holes. I greased them pretty good, got the rear hole lined up, (was dificult) but the front bushing just wont go in far enough!~

Any ideas out there??
Thanks
