from spar part from a parts 36 car .have ge 63 is it for tail or stop light. tail light quit working .have power to wire back to the bumper can not get any bulb to light up on tail light. brake light works ok . put bulb ge 63 in still not working. after checking looks like power is ther have 5 bulb ge 63 but none work hard to believe all bulbs is bad . socks seems ok. what bulb do i order from fs thanks

I would check the ground on that light socket. It must have a good ground to light bulb.

Hi Smitty;
Like Chipper said, clean all your ground points real good. When this happend to me I used some light sand paper, wrapped around a wood dowel, and worked it around in the light bulb sockets abit. You'd be supprised how just a little corrosion will cause this to happen. What I thought were bad bulbs, lit right up after this cleaning. Hope this helps.

tail light fixed. if you pushed bulb in more it works .still had a hard time getting bulb to stay in futher i pinched it togather . since all bulbs seems to need that wonder what the real fix should be .thanks

Either you have a problem with the spring in the positive contact or got to a place where the bulb was grounded. Still believe that the socket does not provide a good ground path to the bulb is the most likely problem.
