The sales brochure I have of the 48 shows tuck and roll stitched seat fabric??i have seam many that do not,just flat?
It also shows a piece of "L" shaped stainless (back towards window)on the front door panels(this pic is a 4 door)Were they the same on the aero sedan

Looking at the brochure closer it appears the tuck and roll is only in the 4 door

I have an original '48 aero fleetline and the original upohstery is a flat , striped material with no pleats. Hope this helps.

The tuck and roll or pleated upholstery is used on the back rests of the Fleetmaster only. The Fleetline 2 and 4 door have the same upholstey and pattern. The door trim is also the same except its shortened up a bit for the shorter door of a 4 door.
