I am attempting to put a headliner in my '36 Chevy, 2 dr, Standard Sedan. The car had no headliner when I purchased it. I have two questions: Can I use the old dome light when the car now has a 12 volt system? Did the headliner bows attach to any kind of hardware on the ends?

The same dome lamp can be used....with a 12 volt bulb.

Originally the roof bows were retained to the wood roof rails with hooks. If they are missing I would guess screws could be used.

Thanks for the information about the dome light and headliner bows. As you can imagine from the question about the dome light, I'm not too knowledgable, but I am enjoying the project.
