I've just joined vcca and cant believe how informative .lot of my questions have been answered by just reading postings in the forum.I've a 1940 chevrolet master deluxe 2dr sedan.I have recently rebuilt the front suspension complete tie rods ball joint the complete kit from Kanter.I drove to the shop 24 miles with only the tow set,it felt like it didnt need one.after alignment it has a bad vibration through the floor related ? Looked at front ujoint seems ok ?, also balanced tires.Any ideas Thankyou

Thanks Chevgene for the info , it looks like a scary job, I'll read over that section. Looks like you need a puller to remove old bushings ? Its times like these I wish they had an open drive line. Thankyou.

I went over the repair manual several times for oakie bushing replacement it appears you have to pull the rear end completely out of the car. I hate to start then tell someone what I did - and hear boy you did that the hard way. Do the rivets have to come out of the torque tube ? Any help is better than where i am now . Thanks

not necessary to remove the differential from the car.
The FS usually sends pretty detailed instruction with their parts
