Anyone add powdered graphite to their gear lube? I was given a can of Dixon Microfyne by an old timer that swears it will cure whatever ails a transmission or differential.

I have not used powdered graphite in trans or rear axles but have found it very useful as a dry lube in locks and similar as it doesnt attract dust and other road grime.
