I am installing the wood in a 32 chev 5window coupe with trunk. I have all the new wood in and around the doors. Now for the alignment. Where did chevrolet install shims? My choices seem to be 1.Behind the hinges 2.Under the triangular metral brackets at the bottom of the doors. 3. Between the wood sill and metal frame. Which is origional?
I also have a problem with the rear of the door fitting correctly at the latch but the gap is a little too big at the top and bottom of the door. If I try to bring the rear of the body forward to get the top and bottom correct; then middle is tight and the latch jams. Any suggestions?
