On my 1929 sedan the drivers outside door handle dose not fit tight against the escutcheon, is it suppose to and if so what is the best way to adjust it to fit properly, the square part on the inside or end of the handle is up against the part that the screw goes into to hold the handle. Would you file or cur the square end off and if so how far is the handle suppose to go into the escutcheon.

Here's a quick tip to let you know that VCCA members have access to Technical Advisors for all years of Chevrolet.
It's sort of like calling a business and speaking to a "REAL PERSON". It's worth the price of membership!
Technical Advisor info is posted at: http://vcca.org/advisors.htm

While you can get a lot of information for free on the Chat site, sometimes the info that you REALLY need is only available from the right person. This is what “The World’s Best Chevrolet Club” is all about.
