There were two different heads used on the 1935 Standard.
The early heas was cast 837230 and the late was 837682.
The eraly head is basicaly a 1934 Master head. Either head can be used but the proper head gasket must be used also. The 1936 head was sold for replacement for the 1935 in the later years. It has casting # 837981.
The early head had longer head bolts. The head bolt head was about even with the rocker arm cover gasket. On the late head it was about an 1 1/2" lower. The valves were also different.
