The throttle return spring on my 29 is tied to the exhaust manifold with a piece of bailing wire. Since it obviously broke in the past I want to replace it before it breaks while driving. I have the new spring from the filling station but do not see how it attaches. A portion of my old spring is around the throttle rod so it looks like the throttle rod must pass through the inside of the spring, and the looped end goes to the carb linkage. The other end must hook to or wrap around something but I cannot see what or where it goes. I have reviewed my manuals as well as the service news and do not see a clear illustration of the stationary end of the spring. If anyone can provide me with an explanation or photo it would be fabulous!
