What type of timing marks are on the fly wheel I have rotated it through a couple of times by hand with plugs out and I do not see any were they stamped in or painted on. The pointer is there are they the same as a 1931 I have pictures of Bill Barker timing for a 1931.

should look like

UIC

that's top center

if the ring gear has been replaced the very top of the mark could be missing. they are stamped and could be covered by crud. remove the bellhousing splash pan and take a wire brush to the area while rotating the flywheel with a big screwdriver

12 degrees advanced

1I2
