When I bought my 38 the PO had acquired the 216 and rear axle/torque tube assembly from a '40 car to use as spare parts. The engine turns, the bearings are pretty stiff in the rear end but it has two good wheels & one of the (maybe both, I haven't looked) have beauty rings. Both are free if you come get them. If I can't find them a home they're going to the scrap yard. Anybody?
