I am puting together a 1931 engine. I made a tool similar to the one in the manual to measure the oil pan trough depth and to measure the rod dipper distance from the block. My question is: What is the proper clearance between the two items (not including the oil pan gasket thickness). I think it should be about 1/8" again not including the oil pan gasket thickness.
I can't find anything in any of the books I have, so I'm leaving it to the experts.
Thanks for your help guys
