I am slowly reading thru all the posts you guys have here and out of 169 pages I am on 91 and my butt is sore, that being said which manuals are the most reccomended for the repair and opertaion of my 29 2Dr. coach, I already have an owners manual and I have a couple of what every chevrolet mechanic should know manuals and I have a master parts manual that covers 29-53 but seems to diagram primarilly the later stuff. I will order these from the filling station as it seems the most frequesntly reccomended but want to be sure I get the best coverage of my car for the money. I have alot more questions to post and am looking forward to having them answered once I make sure that they have not already been answered, or do my best for that anyway. Thanks...Jason

Of the items you don't yet have, I would recommend you buy the following items in priority order:

-- Shop Manual DG-121
-- 1929-32 Master Parts Book FS-936
-- 1929 Service News SN-29
-- 1930 Service News SN-30
-- 1929 Engineering Manual CH-1
-- Fisher Body Service Manual 100536-C

I would call the first two essential, the second two good to have and the last two optional. All of them have good useful information.

Good luck with your car!

All the Best, Chip

Thanks, I did forget to mention that I also have collected issues of the Chevrolet service news for a few years now and do have all the original issues give or take up until 39 or 40. I am assuming that all these you mention are avail thru the filling station?

Yes, that's right. The numbers I showed after them are Filling Station numbers. A number of other vendors have them, too.

All the Best, Chip

Some reprints have recently been listed on ebay. Also can contact www.faxonautoliterature.com/ Several of the other sources have slowly faded away when their stock was depleted or they ceased business.
