Whats the proper procedure to take out the rear seat? I looked in the service manual but didn't find anything listed.

Thanks
Don

does anybody know if the seat bottom bolts in or is it like later model cars where it pushes in and down with a clip on the floor?

thanks
Don

The seat bottom is probably not bolted in....because if it was bolted in how would you get to the bolts?

to remove the lower cushion lift up on the front edge. May get a better grip by getting your fingers between the bottom of the cushion and the floor.....then pull forward.

Thanks

To remove the back-rest-
First look down in the lower corners under the back-reas. There may be bent -over metal tabs there holding the seat in place. If there are straighten the tabs and pull out on the bottom a bit. The push straight up to un-hook the upper hooks. If that dosen't work it will be necessary to remove the spare tire and the cardboard trunk lining in the back of the trunk and see if there are tabs there.
