This is the Place!!!! Do you have a question? many of us olde Chevrolet fans have these or have had one of these 1969 Trucks. Here is a web site devoted to these 4x4 Chevys: Chevy 4x4 trucks

Thanks. I just had a few basic questions and I was being impatient until my manuals arrived. We bought a 1970 Blazer in Wyoming while on vacation in 1970. Had a Blazer on order since late 1968 from Downtown Chevrolet in Minneapolis but we were told they were all going out west. Burman Chevrolet in Laramie had six sitting on the lot, we bought the green one . I barely remember the Blazer, wish I still had it. As far as questions I have almost too many for the forum. I was wondering about a web site. Info for the 1969-1972 trucks seems slim.

OK, here are a couple questions that have bugging me. This is the new truck and it says C-10 on the front fender, however it's 4 wheel drive. I thought all the 4 wheel drive trucks were designated K series? I know the truck has not beed altered. It also has 16" wheels, aren't they supposed to be 15"? The interior is also pretty original. On the glove box door it has the standard 4 wheel drive sticker but also has this sticker put over the top. Was that standard practice? It looks like it's been there from day one. And one more question, I'm positive this is the wrong air cleaner. What does the factory one look like? Is it the one with the long schnoz on it?

Hey Chip, I have both the assembly and shop manuals on order. Just my impatience of youth (riiiight) had me asking questions. I don't know if I had mentioned but I gave this truck to my 10 year old for his birthday on August 1st. Good thing it needs an interior cause he about pee'd his pants! I figured this is a good way to get him into cars for real.

Hi Everyone,
Not to disagree with you Gene but I was talking with my dad last night about this and he had a number of these trucks in his fleet over the years. He said that the 350's all had 4 barrel carburetors on them and the 307's had 2 barrels on them. He said that he put some 2 barrel set ups on the 350's thinking that the mileage would get better, and it did. He also mentioned that the plumbers who drove the 350's with the 4 barrel used to flip the air cleaner lid over, made for and impressive bunch of noise when you got the secondarys open on the carb. But it was probably the reason for the poor gas mileage more than the carb size. He said actually you can get better mileage out of the 4 barrel than the 2 barrel if you drive it decent. We also talked about the side emblems, all the trucks he had in the fleet were 2 wheel drives so they all had the C/20 - C/10 emblem on them. He did have a new '69 Blazer. He thought that it had a K/5 emblem on it. He was going to look for some pictures of the truck.
Thanks Don

OK, I found out more on the kids truck. We are the third owners and the guy I got it from bought it in 1976. It's the original engine and carburator. He disabled the automatic choke but thinks he still has all the parts. Thats good!
