Your assessment is right on! I have a '72 Blazer 4x4 and formally owned a '70 Blazer 2 WD and '70 GMC 2WD pickup. All the trucks were original and look basically the same as your pickup.

I have a 1967-1972 Chev/GMC Truck Factory Assembly Instruction Manual reprint published by Golden State in 1993. It has hundreds of pages on assembly of nearly every part on the pickups, Suburbans and Blazers and worth the $ 40 it costs. Suggest you get one from the Filling Station or Carter's or other supplier.

First the earlier info. I gave you that the 350 was a 4 barrel is incorrect. This came from a non-Chevrolet sorce. The 1969 truck shop manual says it had a 2 Bbbl...the large 1 1/2" throat model.
The shop manual mentions an oil bath air cleaner for some model in the 10 through 60 series. I will be looking farther but would bet that all smaller trucks had a paper filter, snorkel type air cleaner. Its pictured with the hot air pipe running down to the exhaust manifold. The air cleaner pictured looks like the passenger car air cleaner that had a flex hose attached to the front of the snorkel. I suspect it either has a passenger car engine or intake and carburetor.
For tire size a K10 could have 8.25x15 tires or 8.00X16 tires according to the shop manual.
All 4 WD trucks were K series and would have the K in the fender emblem.
The serial number should read KS9 = K for 4 WD, S for gas engine and 9 for 1959.
What is the engine code number/
There should be a info sheet stuck on the inside of the glove box door with all the options listed on it.

All 4 WD trucks had the K-10 and all 2 Wd had the C-10. My guess is that a used front clip from a C series was installed at one time.
The carb. was a Rochester, just a larger version than used on 283-307 engines.
I have been unable to find any more info. Seem to have a 1969 "gap".
If the engine has newer heads it will have the tapered seat (no gasket) spark plugs.

Not to disagree with you Gene but I was talking with my dad last night about this and he had a number of these trucks in his fleet over the years. He said that the 350's all had 4 barrel carburetors on them and the 307's had 2 barrels on them. He said that he put some 2 barrel set ups on the 350's thinking that the mileage would get better, and it did. He also mentioned that the plumbers who drove the 350's with the 4 barrel used to flip the air cleaner lid over, made for and impressive bunch of noise when you got the secondarys open on the carb. But it was probably the reason for the poor gas mileage more than the carb size. He said actually you can get better mileage out of the 4 barrel than the 2 barrel if you drive it decent. We also talked about the side emblems, all the trucks he had in the fleet were 2 wheel drives so they all had the C/20 - C/10 emblem on them. He did have a new '69 Blazer. He thought that it had a K/5 emblem on it. He was going to look for some pictures of the truck.

My information is that all '69 Blazers were 4WD and during the '70 model production was the 2WD option offered. They had C/10 badges on the fenders. I had one of those '70 2WD models until my son bisected a '71 pickup with it. Seems that a black truck with no lights pulled in front of him as he was going 50+ mph (speed limit was 50). Pushed the front end back about a foot. Luckily both drivers walked away (actually the other driver ran so was not there when cops arrived) with only minor injuries.

I agree, I thought that the 350 1969 truck engines had 4 barrels but the shop manual says no. I am still trying to find more info. The 4 Bbl. always gave better milage if you kept your foot out of it. The big 2 Bbbl. used on 350 cars engines always gave better response.

Could the reason for the "C" badging be the fenders or front clip was replaced? If they had a donor of the same year and color you couldn't tell the difference!
I had a 72 Full-sized Blazer with the 350/4bbl/glass packs/white spoke rims/raised white letter off road tires in dark green with the white top! Ow-ow-ow! (Tribute to Tim Allen)
It was a cool ride.
When you hit the gas and let the pipes ring, you could watch the gas gauge needle move right along with the speedometer!
It was fun! Of course gas was under a buck a gallon back then-oh the days!
Just had to drop my 2 cents in. Lucky kid!
