I don't care what others may say....But, I would love to have that car or one just like it.

Hello, I recently found this site while looking for information about an original 1936 Chevy sedan that I feel I was lucky to find. It is certainly something to behold. It is not too often that you have the opportunity to be the caretaker of such a neat piece of history. I find particular interest in vehicles that are old and original.
It takes a lifetime for these vehicles to gain their patina.
More exciting is to hear an engine come to life after it has been parked for 25+ years.
I also think that if done properly the hot rod can be quite an accomplishment. Not having created a hot rod or modified car or truck I suspect some day I will want to create one. I have seen some beautiful cab over hot rod trucks. I appreciate the almost instantaneous reponse i received from this group about my Vin numbers. I never expected to find my answer so quickly.
I just joined the VCCA and will be contributing to this forum for some time.
Regards, Ken

Koodoes to Ken for making the right choice, and welcome to you.
The VCCA is the best choice for getting the information you'll need to keep you 36 original. I owned 2 36 2dr Masters in the past and they are great riding cars.
I like your description of the "patena" paint. That is something we don't often see. I agree that it is a rolling piece of history.
Good luck with it.
