I tried to install the rear glass stainless trim today so i can get my car back together. I used the body book and followed instructions The rubber went on great with the black weather strip adhesive I then put some adhesive in the grove of the stainless steel trim and figured it would just pop back on well it did not want to go so I tried making the grove larger and used some silicone spray and the top started I started tapping the trim with a plastic mallet then after a while I noticed I was doing more damage to the trim and I removed the trim and it is flattened out a lot I need HELP in finding a replacement one and HOW to put these on as I still this rear one and both windshield ones to go. Hope some one can help me out with both getting anther trim and how to install these moldings.

hi everyone an update-- I found one on eBay and was wondering if anyone knows if the reveal molding on a 1941 4 door fleetline rear window stainless is the same as the 41 town sedan I am going to do some research. but wanted to ask. I was hoping someone would have been able to help out but no reply as of toady.

The moulding for the Fleetline 4 door fits that body style only. The window is slightly smaller than the other sedans.
The 1941 moulding fits 1941 only. The 2 and 4 doors would be the same but not the coupe or Fleetline.
For some reason the 1942-48 sedan moulding has a different part number so, even though the glass is the same, for some reason the moulding is different.
In other words you would need the moulding from a 1941 Special DeLuxe 2 or 4 door for your Town Sedan.

Take your flattened stainless steel trim to your local plating shop. Many plating shops straighten and polish stainless steel to like new condition.

An update I called Jerry rivers I have dealt with him a few times and he has always had what I wanted and at a fair price. He had the proper trim I needed and was only 45 dollars plus shipping. he has parts from 1936 to 1954. if anyone needs his phone # let me know I have his business card. some times it pays to shop before sending your part out to be repaired
