I had my Carter updraft rebuilt last spring by a "National Carburetor rebuilder" and I think they screwed it up. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get a GOOD rebuilt carb for my '29 LQ? I check Ebay from time to time but don't find much.

There are several carburetor rebuilders listed in the "Services Offered" section of the VCCA's monthly magazine the Generator & Distributor that you can contact. They will be glad to help you. \:D \:D \:D \:D

All three that are listed will do a good job. I know each personally. Two are active on this site the other is not a computer person.

Having a national rebuilder repair a carburetor that they are not familar with can be a problem. Too many people have sent it to one of them, charged a exorbinant fee and received a poor job. I know it is difficult to know who to send something to but checking on this forum you will get the straight story from most people. It is also best to ask for referrences or customers that have had the same carb rebuilt by the potential rebuilder. Then check with them to see if they were satisfied with the job. Several of us can supply a list of people to never send anything to if you send a private message.
