31 Confederation-- JunkYardDog & Bill are correct, I installed them myself a few years ago with no regret. You can comfortaly cruise all day long at 55 mph at lower rpms. Larry Jackson has been a long time member of the VCCA and contributed an article about his 3:50 gears in the Feb, 1992 issue of the G&D pgs(13-16). If you want to read this article and don`t have that issue, e-mail me and I`ll send it to you. If you really think you want his gears you ought to give him a call as I think he is getting real close to doing them right now. Larry is very nice and patience and also very helpful in answering any questions you might have. hoppy

I just want to clarify the price of the speed-o-meter adaptor. For about 10 years they sold for $75.00. Recently, getting a current price, they had gone way up in price and I've regretfulley had to go up to $96.00 to offset the new price I have to pay. A couple years ago, when I did the 35 1/2 to 36 and 37, 38 and 39 truck 3.36:1's, I went to the local speed-o-meter shop where I know the guy pretty well and he charged me $121.00 for one. I think these type adaptors are loosing favor with vehicle manufacturers who now use predominately electronic speed-o-meter devices. This is possibly adding to the increased cost as production quantities go down.
