Just bought a 40 Master deluxe sedan. While putting it together to see what was missing, it seems there is a braket or something that fits between cowl and the upper two bolts on the fender. Am I right and what are they called. If I'm wrong what goes there. Thanks

1940 Chevrolet front fender attaching bracket. If I understand your description, you are looking for a bracket made of heavy sheet metal. It is approximately 8" in overall length and tapers from the front to the rear. It has 2 attaching bolts on each side. There are hard to find in excellent condition. Usually dirt and water lays on the bracket and it begins to rust away. I have a detailed drawing of a 1940 driver's side attaching bracket. Send me an SASE and I will photocopy the drawing for you. MS40 Go the Forum entitled "My Photos". I have included a photo of what I believe you are looking for. Sorry, but my bracket is not for sale, just for visual reference for you.

40SR is not a VCCA member so he will not be able to view the picture....If I understand the new program correctly. Or is it only members can post pictures and "all" can view?
