Does anyone have info on typical prices a buyer in 1937 would have paid for a 1937 Chevy 1/2 ton truck with the option of a 4 speed tranny? Thanks in advance. 37Blue

Blue,
A book I just happen to have right next to me at the moment doesn't have any truck prices, '37 or otherwise.
But, it does have the car's prices listed. The car prices range from the low of $619 for a Master 2 passenger Business Coupe to the high of $788 for a Master Deluxe 5 passenger Sport Sedan.
I suppose a 1/2 ton would be in the same range. Hope this helps til somebody comes up with the "exact" number....

The factory Delivered prices are listed in the front of the parts book. I'll list a few here: 1937 Half ton "GC" 112" Wheelbase Chassis = $360 Cab & Chassis = $450 Open Express = $475 Panel = $575 Canopy Express = $560 Suburban Carryall = $685
122¼" Wheelbase ¾ Ton "GD" and 1 Ton "GE" Chassis $430 $465 Cab & Chassis 525 560 Open Express 565 600 Panel (Not Listed in 1937) Stake 600 635
(I consider the 127" wheelbase taxi - Limo a passenger car even tho it is technically a ¾ ton sedan.)
Thanks guys. I checked my copy of the master parts catalog (1929-1950 edition) and didn't find the info. The table must be in an earlier edition of the book.
