What dose model # 6B1084 mean? ?#2 IS their any way to determine what cab manufacture that I have?

Since Chevrolet did not supply a truck cab until 1926 there is no way to tell unless you find the body builders tag on the truck or can compare it to known truck cabs from a certain body builder. Post a picture on this Chat site maybe someone could identify it.

As far as I have been able to find out Chevrolet did not offer a truck cab until 1927.This information came from Fisher body. Mine is a 1926 and after 3 years of research I still don't know who built it.Good luck in your search.

As far as I know the 1926 1 ton X series truck was the first closed cab offered by Chevrolet and also they released a panel body. Most of the 1 tons were sold as a commercial chassis with no body. Martin-Perry, Hercules were the major body suppliers for Chevrolet as well as many other smaller builders around the country. Maybe if your truck is a Canada built the cabs in 1926 were not available since they (Chevrolet) were all built in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.
