Any ideas where I might find the wood plans for '29 Coupe? I'd like to try my hand at rebuilding the frame for the 2 coupes that I have.

That is a question often asked by many, however wood plans don't exist. You either have to use your old wood for a pattern or purchase a wood kit from the several suppliers that make the kits. The 1929-32 Chevrolet parts book does have some illustrations of wood bodies, but there are no dimensions. You can purchase the parts book from the Filling Station in Lebanon, Oregon. Also, if you do order you might want to purchase the 1926-31 Fisher Body Manual from them as well.

Unless you are a master carpenter I highly recomend purchasing the wood parts you need.
It gets expensive but well worth the money. If wood pieces are missing from your car you will never be able to get the dimensions right.
The links on this web site have been fabricating those same wood pieces for years.

Wood kit will run you around 3500. It's out of my budget for sure.

Sure...I replaced only the pieces that were missing or rotted.

One good way to start if your making a complicated piece is to use cheaper pine and cut thin pieces on a band saw then glue the together until you get it to look like and fit. Then make it out of the pricer wood. You can laminate the hard wood by using the same process then it's band saw, drill and clamp & glue.
