How long is the brake pedal return spring and were does it attach at the rear? Thanks

The brake spring is about 2 feet long. The most logical connecting point I can find is a hole at the brace for the crossmember that is just forward of the front of the rear spring.

You are right Skip. I just put down my FS catalog. Found what I needed.

The spring goes from a hole in the third cross member reinforcing plate to an oval shaped metal piece held in place by clevis pin holding the brake rod to the pedal. The piece is about 1 1/2" long with large and small hole (for other end of the spring).

I agree with Chipper exactly. Just disassembled my unrestored '30 and it was exactly as he described.
