Set of original pistons from running '34 pickup.
Just pay the postage.
Why would you need them? I don't know, but I bored and bought some aluminum ones, 40 over.
Great paperweights?
Turn 'em down for undersize cylinders?
Shoot from a cannon?
Add your idea here:

I wonder if they were used in other year motors?

Maybe someone here knows.

Skip, what would take you 5 minutes to find (bet you already know without looking it up) would take me 3-5 days to find and even then if I did find some information I would not be sure enough about the information to give advice to others here.

I would hate to put any wrong information on Chatter.

There are several VCCA experts here like you that everyone can and does trust.

I don't need them, just trying to help find a home for the parts.

Hey Gator! You need to have more faith in yourself. Looking up parts in a Chevrolet parts book is just like looking up information in an encyclopedia. It should only take you a minute or so to look up the information in a parts book, even if you are not that familiar with the book.

For example, you go to the index at the beginning of the parts book and look under "P" and then find "piston assembly". It shows that the piston assembly is in group 0.629. Then you go to group 0.629 and look up the application in question. In this case it shows that the pistons fit 1929 thru 1936. Basically, that's all there is to it.

Thanks Skip, you saved me a week's effort...and thanks for the lesson on how to use the book.

I think I will always look to you and Gene and Ray and Bill and many other VCCA experts here for the final word on anything Chevy.

When we have the best why go with the rest????

The pistons were the same from 1929-1936....ALMOST
There were minor improvements made from 1929-32.The 1933 had a ring grove width change. The 1934 had another ring width grove change. The 1934-36 pistons were sold as replacements for the 1929-33 models but the 1934-36 rings must be used.

I'm glad to have all this expert help with the old pistons!
It sure shows that one must know which pistons one is using and be sure to have the appropriate rings!
Now, can we find a home for them. I HATE throwing out anything potentially useful, but really don't want to store them either.
Thanks for the inputs!
