A little learning is a dangerous thing; Drink deep, or taste not the
Pierian spring. There shallow draughts intoxicate the brain,
and drinking largely sobers us again

How is the sheetmetal joined on the 23 touring on the back where you have the two large belts running vertical? Rivits?

Good Question, I have not torn my '23 down yet.

Hey ChevyB, can you take a picture of the '25 body?

If it is like all the other wood framed Chevys that I have worked on the individual panels are nailed to the wood near the edge of the metal. Then a metal molding with attached nails is nailed in place over the seam. Some use a fabric hidem welting around the tops and a few other places.

At the back of the "tub", the vertical belts are crimped together. There are no rivits. If these three pieces have separated, you have a bit of a job ahead of you. Perhaps you could sweat solder the pieces together, then place small rivits at the very top (which will be hidden under the upholstery) and at the very bottom (which will be underneath the car and not obvious) as "stiffeners".

I will try to get a couple of photos of mine and will post them up for reference.
