...and you don't have to paint it, so it can look like the original "tinned" steel. I use the same stuff. You can also get it from NAPA in 25-ft and 50-ft rolls. All the Best, Chip

THANKS again for all your help. I checked my sun visor and it looks like an orginal Chevy item. The stamping on the engine block is HAM469453 which I think means the engine was built in 1950, a standard 216 passenger car engine, built at the Tonawand

You could always shorten your legs. Seriously for a moment, the thinner seat back and the seat frame moved back 1" would give you 2", which should be a great improvement for leg room. Being a little guy I dont have that problem, very clos

Thanks Gene! Can you suggest any literature to learn more on enhancing a 37 216? Or any year 216? How does the 40 timing gear change or improve valve timing? What about a different camshaft? Anyone else out there that has been there, done that?

Anyone that says Chevrolets always leaked oil is a person or mechanic that does not know how to repair an engine. Believe me when they were new and had an oil leak the owner would bring them back to the dealer and complain. We had very few oil leaks
