Well said Chipper. At $14.95 its also a rip-off. A $2.00 can of STP willl do the same thing which is change your #30 oil to #50 viscosity.

I was using Marine Grease for a little bit myself until I ran into someone who told me you need to use the special grease because it breaks down in water. Excess grease could get introduced into the cooling system and if you are using something like

I made several mistakes in my above posting last night. I finally found my Fisher Body file with notes. The correct history is the Euclid Plant was a Body Assemble plant from 1948 to about 1971 for BOP cars plus Chevrolet station wagons, Sedan Delive

The hole in question on my original 1932 Special Sedan is about .730 and the O.D. of the metal end on the original wiring loom is .535 to .540. Therefore, due to the size of the original wiring loom on my car a grommet was not used at that location.

I am not likely going in reverse as I get oil coming at the rocker arms. It is just that I can't see the gauge on the other side. I'll get a helper next time to do either the spinning or the looking. Thanks, guys

Natural rubber tubes were often red. They are highly sought after by some of the collectors and purists. Apparently they have superior air holding properties compared with period synthetic rubber tubes. I have one that is obviously decades old and

Good Day The hole in the cowl at 10:00 from the electro lock cable hole is .725 in diameter while the harness is .375 in diameter. That difference calls for a grommet. My car job no is 32567 and was sold to its origional owner on March 1, 1933. So

Yes. Only takes an hundred rpm or so to produce pressure if the pump is working properly. Make sure you are spinning the pump the proper direction (normally clockwise).

The same claims were made for Wynn's Friction Proofing, STP Oil Treatment, Casite Motor Honey and other similar products. They increase the viscosity of mineral oils which reduces flow. If you want to create sludge in your engine keep adding one of

Kevin, It is my opinion that Lucas oil is a fine product but unnecessary in our old engines. Accordingly, no benefit will be realized. At oil changes, I add nothing to the straight oils available from the regular oil companies. Owing to the circl

38Chevy, I'm happy for you that the gears all looked good. I suppose you checked the lash between the ring gear and pinion. If not, with a gauge, then by feel. Should be just a slight bit of lash. Probably OK if the gear teeth revealed no wear.

Hi, Ken. Many thanks for your note. It's my understanding that Cleveland produced most of Chevy's Townsman, Handyman and nine-passenger wagons in 1957, along with all of the Nomads. It also produced Pontiac wagons. So July 1957 was the last month o
