I just recalled asking 2 years ago about '31 drag link size and '31 Sal (Orlando) told me it was 25&5/16" long, 22" CC the balls, which matches the one I just bought. I'll keep the other parts for spares.

Oil bath is great...But I believe cars in '47 & '48 only came with the tall noise-reducing filters with the copper-colored plastic mesh...I thought your filter was off a truck... That's kinda strange, I've never experienced leaky pot-metal such

Kevin- My original one and another used one were leaking, hence why I'm in this spot. I've tried changing to new brass fittings and they still leak at the threads behind the fittings, which tells me they're shot. Glass bowl & gasket are fine with

The AC filter in the first photo would work nicely...You should just be able to put new fittings on the housing and screw it directly to the Carter. Unless it's already "gone", then you'll have to check Ebay...That's where I found all mine.
