Ok Thanks. Where can I find the 1/4" headlight conduit that goes to the headlights and horn, preferably stainless? The ones at the filling station are too big.

My Dad called me and has a problem with his 54. He told me that the water pump is real close to radiator. I chcked and saw that the shaft is longer on the 55-62 235 pump, is it possible to bolt a 55 and newer pump to a 54 engine? I think this is the

Thanks... I called him and he's not doing that any longer. He walked 200 feet through 3 feet of snow to look for a spare one in his shop. (or maybe it was 4 feet of snow... I don't remember. But I appreciate him looking for one).

You may have more than one problem. The carburetor may also need adjustment.

When running at idle (distributor lever in the advanced position) move the body of the distributor for best idle. Tighten distributor. When starting the engine be sure to retard the spark. When started move the lever to advanced position.

Well, I've been fortunate to have a number of nice cars that I suppose I would take back. Altho I can't really say I would have done it any differently. The reason I sold them was I'd had my fun with them and felt it was time to move on.

The 1938 and up 3 speed also has a slinger nut and no seal. They don't leak unless there is something radically wrong.

The fact that it was a car or truck had nothing to do with it. Note that the convertibles previous to 1951 did not have an inside mirror due to the small back window. When the changed to the big plastic rear window in 1951 the inside mirror became s

NO - A rear main leak will not get the engine compartment full of oil. You may have a rocker arm cover gasket leak, side cover gasket or FUEL PUMP. I have had three different fuel pumps leak oil at higher speeds. The lever pivot pin leaks where it go
