THANKS again for all your help. I checked my sun visor and it looks like an orginal Chevy item. The stamping on the engine block is HAM469453 which I think means the engine was built in 1950, a standard 216 passenger car engine, built at the Tonawand

Gidday fellas, Pete: No problems at all, I'm do'in a bit of head scratching at the moment so a little more won't kill me. Neil: regarding the less padding in the seat idea, Ray (1928isgreat) suggested this to me which came directly from his auto tr

The top of the front seat joins the centre posts with a curved piece of wood approx 50mm x 30mm. you will need a pattern as it also has a twist in it. Unfortunately the 28 tourer I'm restoring at the moment went to the trimmers 2 weeks ago. As for mo

grant, sorry i haven't got photos or access to the top section as the upholstery is fitted. As far as I can see there is a 25x20mm rough sawn piece of timber attached to the 2 vertical members at 125mm off seat frame but thats as far as I can see.

It's a light load... Class I. Manufactured trailer < 2,000 lbs loaded. Yes, I found a photo of one similar to the one that you're describing. I couldn't figure out what the long bar attaches to up front. But maybe it'll be obvious after I put

Hey all, I am currently in the process of redoing all of my shock absorbers and going through the suspension. Can anyone tell me where I can find new bushing and what all I need to replace? Thanks, Davis38

Bill, What is the load you plan to tow? There used to be a trailer hitch made for them. Of course that was a few years ago (well maybe more than a few). Basically you need to span the spare tire pan with two cross pieces that go from frame rail to

Awesome picture! Keep it for him when he's 40. Reminds me of helping my Dad put the trim back on our '51 when it came back from the paint shop in 1981. Small hands and arms are sometimes the right tools!

Any suggestions on where, or how, to add a trailer hitch to a C2 Corvette? (No need to post any negative comments about this. I've already heard enough about that from the local folks. Ha!)
